How do I become a Trainer?

  1. An individual confirms that he or she meets the Trainer Prerequisites for the MWE Program.
  2. An individual submits an application to become a licensed Trainer in the Promoting Savings and Credit Associations Program or the Business, Home, and Health Program.
  3. The Chalmers Center reviews the application, and will notify the applicant if they have been selected to enter the MWE Trainer Program.
  4. The individual pays the license fee to the Chalmers Center.
  5. The individual signs a Trainer license agreement with the Chalmers Center.
  6. The individual completes a four-week online Trainer Certification course in the selected MWE Program.
  7. The individual successfully completes the self-paced field practicum in the selected MWE Program.
  8. The individual is certified as a Trainer in Promoting Savings and Credit Associations or Business, Home, and Health.
  9. The Trainer is licensed to use the selected MWE Program curriculum in the Trainer’s country of service.

How do I become a Lead Trainer?

  1. Complete the steps (above) to become a certified Trainer.
  2. The individual completes a ten-week online Lead Trainer Certification course in the selected MWE Program.
  3. The individual successfully completes the self-paced field practicum in the selected MWE Program.
  4. The individual is certified as a Lead Trainer in Promoting Savings and Credit Associations or Business, Home, and Health.
  5. The Lead Trainer is licensed to use the selected MWE Program curriculum to train and certify other Trainers within their organization.
