We Train Churches

Using the experience and knowledge we gain from testing interventions in our pilot projects, we then train churches around the world to use these interventions on their own. Introductory training in the basic principles and practices of holistic ministry takes place in the context of our Helping Without Hurting Network and Seminars. More in-depth training on economic development interventions takes place in the context of our two licensing systems: Microfinance with Education and Work & Savings Network. All of our training utilizes the leading principles and practices of adult education.

Increasingly we find ourselves testing new delivery strategies for equipping churches to use the economic development interventions we have developed. For example, the ASSET initiative in West Africa explores the use of demand-driven, social enterprises to equip grassroots churches in the Majority World to use Microfinance with Education. And ADDC (Asset Driven Development of Chattanooga) explores the use of a hub-spoke system to empower churches in North America to use Work & Savings.
