In 1994, Tom LePage, who has been Senior Director of the Chalmers Center for the past two years, was working for a major Christian relief and development organization in Africa. Tom visited Rwanda shortly after the genocide and witnessed the carnage in the country as a whole and in the church in particular.
Tom recently spoke at a dinner hosted by the Chalmers Center that celebrated what God is doing in Rwanda. Watch the video clip below to hear Tom’s dramatic description of what he saw in Rwanda fifteen years ago and the significance of some recent efforts on the part of Anglican Church of Rwanda in partnership with the Chalmers Center and Hope International to use savings and credit associations to bring reconciliation to the land where the demons once seemed to rule.
