Core Expectations
Sign a Training Agreement
Facilitators are required to sign a training agreement with the Chalmers Center prior to starting their coursework. The training agreement details the benefits and responsibilities of being part of the Training Program. View a sample training agreement.
Complete Online and Live Training
Facilitators are required to complete a four-week online course prior to attending a two-day live event training. The online portion of the course requires two to three hours of work per week on average for reading, writing, and discussion. Completion of both is mandatory in order to receive curriculum access and a Faith & Finances Certified Facilitator certificate. View upcoming courses.
Implement the Program
Certified Facilitators are equipped and authorized to train low- to moderate-income people in financial education in their churches or communities. The Chalmers Center expects that Certified Facilitators will hold at least one Faith & Finances course offering per year among low- to moderate-income people.
Report Key Data
At each hosted offering of Faith & Finances, the Certified Facilitator agrees to provide Chalmers with simple data and reports that summarize the outcomes from the use of the Training Program. This reporting helps Chalmers to improve its programs and communicate impact to stakeholders. Reporting is required and certification will be revoked if the Facilitator fails to submit them to Chalmers.
