Christian Microfinance and Microenterprise Development
Course Description
This course provides an overview of basic principles and practices in Microfinance (MF) and Microenterprise Development (MED) so that participants can determine the appropriateness of MED and MF for their ministry context. It is an orientation course that lays the foundation for advanced training in specific MED/MF implementation strategies.

Distance Learning
Format: Internet-based course featuring weekly reading and written assignments, peer learning (including threaded discussions), and facilitator feedback. Learn More»
Length: 7 weeks
Time Investment: On average, 5-8 hours/week. (If you do not have a secondary-school level of English comprehension and writing skills, your time investment may be longer.)
Course Material: Reading and written assignments accessible over the Internet. No separate purchase is necessary. As a courtesy, the Chalmers Center will send a Resource CD of course and recommended material. This CD and the shipping cost is included in the cost of the course.
