Mar 23, 2012UPDATE: Mali is currently amidst a coup. Tuareg rebels, returning from fighting in Libya, have recently threatened three strategic northern Mali towns. Leaders of the two-month-old rebellion have taken advantage of a power vacuum caused when government soldiers stormed the presidential palace and ousted the democratically elected president earlier this week. Please pray for peace and stability for all Malians, especially our Mobile Training Center owners and members of our savings and credit associations.
Chalmers Center Announces Official Launch of ASSET Program in West Africa
Aug 17, 2011Three weeks ago in Cape Coast, Ghana, the Chalmers Center officially launched ASSET — a new social entrepreneurship venture that uses Mobile Training Centers to equip grassroots churches to minister holistically in their communities. ASSET, which stands for Advancing Stewardship, Social Enterprise, Training, has been in development for over three years, so the final screening, selecting, and training of eight outstanding West Africans to take ownership of four Mobile Training Centers represents a huge milestone for the Chalmers Center. ...
